Korea, Vietnam; and their U.S. Naval Armed Guard shipmates.
Welcome
to U.S. Merchant Marine
U.S. Maritime Service, Army Transport Service,
Naval Transport Service, Military Sea Transportation Service,
and Military Sealift Command. Our aim is to remind the
American people about the vital role the United States
Merchant Marine played during all wars. During World War
II, together with the United States Navy Armed Guard,
they faced the enemy on more fronts at the same time around
the world than anyone in the history of warfare.

U.S. Maritime Services. It is hoped that you will
become more informed about the importance of retaining a
strong Merchant Fleet which when called upon can at all times
be available to assist our Military Branches of Service in
making sure that the troops and supplies needed are always
delivered to them in our attempts to preserve peace throughout
the world.
