commentsComments: Forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed visiting your site. I know it is a labor of love. John Koumon
commentsComments: I often watched the combat enegineers put up pontoon bridges only yo have them blown up in their faces. Back they would go and do it again.I had the greatest respect for their bravery . We TDs could shoot back to save our skins. Not much credit has been given to the engineers , What would the GI do without them? John Koumon 807 Td
commentsComments: No one branch of service could do their things without us, we who served in the Merchant Marine/Maritime Services. We were and are still the guys who deliver most everything that the troops and any military people need to do their jobs, yet are always the last to be recognized. Re: Servuicemen & women who served during WW II recieved their termination certificates with the date of Dec.31,1946. While we got ours some 43 years AFTER that year, on Jan.19,1988 with a date of Aug.15,1945 on thyem. That's the day they deopped the Atom Bomb. It took us another 10 years and 5 Congresses to have that date corrected. That's one reason no one heard about us. Look throught these web sites and get a lesson in history. www.tenforward.com/bud/ www.homestead.com/usmerchantmarinevets/ www.geocities.com/bud_98382 and www.merchant-marine.com/ Your site is quite informative. I sure hope that I have added the missing link to it. THANKS "BUD" Schmidt Sr. Sequim,Wa. A (PROUD) designated Veteran of a Foreign War (WW II) in the service of Americas' Merchant marine...>>>

commentsI served with the 25th Infantry Division "A" Battery 7/11 Field Artillery Tay Ninh, RVN 1968-69. I now have Peripheral Neuropathy (PN), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), high levels of arsenic in my blood & urine (due to agent blue I believe). The VA just denies all claims except the PTSD, so what else is new. We must unite and fight for our benefits due for the Agent Orange damage done to us all! Please stop by my web site and sign my guest book at www.cybersarges.com. "KEEP THE FAITH" & "WELCOME HOME VETERANS"

commentsComments: Great site. From the view of a viet nam vet, I must say, we shall never know the real story for it lays within the political ring of that time. Us the soldiers who served can only relay our experiences and feelings, and perhaps speak loudly at the rumbles of the making of another involvement to a foreign conflict. Lets do what we can to prevent our youngsters from experiencing what we have.
