Very impressive web site. Delighted with the changes you've made. My husband, John and I are both life members of the AMVETS organization (Post 2000, Columbus, Ohio) and officers of the Ohio AMVETS 12th District. We work on a variety of projects consisting of various ways of assisting veterans. Any suggestions on ways we can help our veterans will be most welcome. Email me. Thanks!

Comments: It is a truly wonderful site, The veterans are in my opion very mistreated. I help with the memorial day at our cemetery every year in fact my self and a friend got it started here in our ver small town. Next year we are buying medals to hand out to all our living vets to let them know while they are here with us how much we thank them for all they have done for our country, our little town has 309 people and we have 121 vets in our small cemetary. Our first memorial day was last year and we had 125 people there it was a very emotional ceremony but well worth our time and effort to do it. I got alot of information off of your web site to use so Thank You so very much. Johnnie mae Bell ps My husband is a viet Nam Vet so I know how badly they are treated. They are shunned terribly. Wonder how many years it will take before the gov. honors them. 50 like the korean vets?

Comments: Thank you for the e-mail announcing the update of your web site...which I had visited in the past. What a great job!! I am a Canadian...female...mid 40's...and I too remember Vietnam..but from a different perspective. I have the utmost admiration for the respect American Vets are showing to Vietnam, and it's people,... especially in regards to their restoration projects..although it was pointed out that it is a process that helps the healing of the American Vets, it is also showing the world that American Vets are a compassionate group of proud men,... who just happened to be caught in the middle of a war, not of their own making, and that they are eager to share a healing of the wounds of war with Vietman, it's Vets and the Vietnamese people.... And with this you gain the respect of the world! I hope you all will find the peace of mind and healing of the heart, that is so heavy with the burdens of the experiences of such a tragic war. God Bless you all...and "Peace"! Debra PS...I will visit again, as I have only just skimmed the surface of the vast amount of information, and pictures shared in your site...I have visited some of the excellant links as well and wish you all the very best..

Comments: Hi, So far I like what I see and I will be back. I am a Veteran myself and also a wife of a Vietnam and Gulf War Veteran who is now sick with GWS. I'm so glad to see more sites on the Web to Honor Veterans. I have talked many times with Doc and yes, he has a wonderful site which he so kindly has put a couple of my poems up. One is called "The Veteran" and the other "America". I was very Honored when he put "America" on the page Dedicated to his father. If you would like any of these poems, please let me know. Veteran's deserve so much more for their sacrifices, especially now with an Illness that the Government refuses to take responsibility for. I for one will continue to fight this cause of this illness that is living in our home and hurting my whole family, including my pets. Another very good site I visit frequently is Desert-Storm.com. I will keep you in my favorites and watch you grow. I know you will. "God Bless" Freda

The dark green text on the purple textured background, on your front page, is hard to read -- but the rest look good. And you've made a very big site easy to navigate. :)

Open invitation to you or anyone else who wants to write on the subject: Real Change, Seattle's street-newspaper, could use more articles, personal stories or even poetry about Vets and homelessness. Check http://www.realchangenews.org/ to learn more about the paper and writing guidelines. It's not a paying market, but it's a way to get information out.

Write On!

I served with the 25th Infantry Division "A" Battery 7/11 Field Artillery Tay Ninh, RVN 1968-69. I now have Peripheral Neuropathy (PN), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), high levels of arsenic in my blood & urine (due to agent blue I believe). The VA just denies all claims except the PTSD, so what else is new. We must unite and fight for our benefits due for the Agent Orange damage done to us all! Please stop by my web site and sign my guest book at www.cybersarges.com. "KEEP THE FAITH" & "WELCOME HOME VETERANS"

Thank you Bob, for your sacrifices and for providing a jumping-off point for more great information!

Comments: Sit, I have enjoyed the visit back in time from your site. I was a grunt, a groundpounding infantryman in the Nam, participating in an event that took the innocence, the heartand the soul of many a young boy. Nam changed us all forever. I invite you to visit my site, "Vietnam Picture Tour," from the lens of a combat infantryman. My goal in writing is to educate people who have no idea of the realities of war, that we may grow a peace evermore, and make war-no-more! I was the sports editor of my college daily newspaper when I was drafted...and like so many others, Nam changed the direction of my life indelibly and forever. Nam imbedded my soul with a new set of senses, forever. I am also a vietnam poet, working in multi-media with the internet, with colorful backgrounds, music, and the spoken word. My poetry linked to the above site: "Soldier's Prayer, Dawn Patrol, the Sound Of Guns, I Felt I'd Died, Agent Orange, My Thousand Yard Stare, Feral Stalking Night, Papason, Legacy, Police Action, LZ Snoopy and The Red Baron, Rocket of Tet..." Come and feel the emotion!
