Many patches commemorating Operation Desert Storm were produced during the conflict. The one depicted here was extremely popular minus the yellow banner across the center. After the war, the manufacturer of this particular patch found an interesting way to unload his excess inventory; the manufacturer simply re-embroidered the inscription "Mission Accomplished" over the original design. We know that the United States accomplished its mission, but cannot say as the the success of the manufacturer's mission. |
